フランスのヴィンテージのチョークストライプのウールフランネルを前身頃に使ったgilet。

A gilet made of vintage French chalk-striped wool flannel for the front.

シャツとパンツのプレーンなスタイルにニュアンスを加え、ジャケットの着こなしをランクアップさせたりと、あれば便利な1着です。

It is a useful piece of clothing to add nuance to a plain style of shirt and pants, or to upgrade a jacket.

生地全体に散らばるダメージに丹念に施したdarning。新たに作られた物や人工的な加工では作り得ない、経てきた年月の長さを示す年輪への魅せる補修。

The damage scattered throughout the fabric has been painstakingly repaired to show the length of time the fabric has been aged, which cannot be done with newly made items or artificial processing.

背身頃は、フランスで100年以上前に手織機で織られたLinen/Cottonのダマスク(Damask)織りのアンティーク。

The back is an antique damask weave of linen/cotton that was hand-loomed in France over 100 years ago.

ダマスク織り本来の形である単色で織られた生地には、植物や幾何学的文様を組み合わせたアラベスク様式の柄が織り込まれ、上品でオリエンタルな趣が漂います。

The fabric is woven in monochromatic colors, which is the original form of damask weaving, and is interwoven with an arabesque pattern that combines plants and geometric patterns, giving it an elegant and oriental flavor.

ボタンは、水牛の角のボタン。手縫いのボタンホールに、通常giletに使うものより少し大振りな直径のボタンを、ずらりと縫い付けています。

The buttons are buffalo horn buttons. The buttons, which are slightly larger in diameter than those normally used for gilets, are sewn in rows in hand-sewn buttonholes.
