100年以上前のフランスのアンティークのリネン/コットンのMetis生地で作ったワークパンツ。

Work pants made of antique French linen/cotton Metis fabric from over 100 years ago.

フランスはリネンの原料のフラックスの一大生産地。自身の上質なフレンチリネンのブランドを誇るとともに、今なお世界のリネン原料のフラックス（亜麻）生産の80％以上を生み出し続ける昔からのリネン大国です。

France is a major producer of flax, the raw material for linen used in textiles. In addition to boasting its own brand of high quality French linen, France has long been a linen powerhouse, still producing more than 80% of the world’s linen flax.

しかしそのフランスも今では、原料栽培以外の工程（特に潤紡よる紡糸はほとんど中国）は国外で行われる事が殆どで、この生地が作られた頃のように、栽培、紡糸、製織全てが国内で行われた純粋なフレンチリネン生地が手に入る事は少なくなってしまいました。

However, even in France, most of the processes other than the cultivation of raw materials (especially the spinning by moist spinning is mostly done in China) are now done outside of France, and it is rare to find a pure French linen fabric that is cultivated, spun, and woven entirely in France, as it was when this fabric was made.

年月の経過を映す枯れた質感と色合いが入り混じる生地は、リネン大国フランスならではのもの。

The fabric, with its mixture of withered textures and tints that reflect the passage of time, is unique to France, a major linen producing country.

素朴な色合いと風合い。生地を上に乗せてpatchする方法ではなく、生地をくり抜いて象嵌状にpatchするフランス特有のtravil de patch。ボタンフライ仕様の前開き部分。

Rustic linen color and texture.The French travil de patch is a unique French method of inlaying patches by hollowing out the fabric, rather than placing the fabric on top of the patch.The front opening has a button-fly design.

サスペンダーは同じ生地から作ったもの。型押しされ起毛されたレザーパーツ。吊るだけでは無く、垂らしてルーズに、普通にベルトで絞ったり。

Suspenders are made from the same fabric. Molded and raised leather parts. Not only hanging, they can be worn loose, or with a normal belt.

生地を二重にして手縫いで中縫いにして丸みと膨らみを持たせたポケット。フランスのベッドリネンに良く入れられているホワイトワーク(白糸刺繍)のエンブロイダリーの部分をポケットに。

A pocket made of double layers of fabric and hand-stitched in the middle to give it roundness and fullness. The pocket is made of a piece of white work (white thread embroidery) embroidery that is often put on French bed linens.

サイドシームへは、リネンコードのハンドステッチ。フランスのワークパンツをモチーフにした切り込み式のサイドポケットにもステッチを。後ろのシンチバックにもアクセントのハンドステッチ。

Linen cord hand stitching on side seams. Stitching also on the cutout side pockets, inspired by French work pants. Accent hand stitching on the back cinch back.

ヒップとインシームの内側の裁ち端のほつれ止めは、あえて手縫いのかがり縫い。

The frayed edges on the inside of the hip and in-seam are daringly hand-stitched seams.

裾にはロールアップした時にコントラストを見せてくれる見返しのコットン。ボタンは1930年代のフランスのBakeliteのデッドストック。石炭（コールタール）から作られた人類初のプラスティックのBakeliteのボタンは、現在のプラスティックには感じる事の出来ない素朴な素朴な味わいと、樹脂としては意外な重みと質感を持っています。

Cotton hem with a turned-up cotton hem that shows contrast when rolled up. The buttons are dead stock French Bakelite buttons from the 1930s. The Bakelite buttons, mankind’s first plastic made from coal tar (coal tar), have a rustic, rustic taste that cannot be found in today’s plastics, as well as an unexpected weight and texture for a resin.
